Now that you all have booked your summer holidays, sorted out your summer clothes, popping your sun block and enjoying the sun, we are preparing the winter rush.Our busiest time of the year is just around the corner and we're trying to make sure we have all the things you need to make your snow season a blast. Throughout the 2013 and 2014 winter seasons one of the key things we learned is that the ski/snow sport is absolutely massive amongst BT employees; however the name of Edgeriders had not been so successfully spread through word-of-mouth and many of the hundreds of workers were unaware of our whereabouts. To put an end to this we conjured an idea to promote ourselves, instead of handing in leaflets of compliment slips, we asked if we could display our stock in a way that cannot be missed by anyone, a stand much like you would see at an open day held by a business.

Little Terns East Anglia - post by 'Touching the Tide Little Tern Warden'

Little Terns are charismatic birds, that once formed part of the character of the Suffolk coast in the summer months. Sadly in just 19 years the population saw a dramatic drop of 88% and last summer only four chicks successfully fledged along the whole of the Suffolk coast.

Les Deux Alpes, Home to “La Grave”

This resort is one of the oldest and best ski resorts in France, and has one of the largest skiable glaciers in the Alps. Located two hours from Grenoble and three hours from Geneva, this resort is a popular place for tourists to come for skiing holidays. This is a great place for all types of skiers from beginners to the experts. This resort is home to a ski run considered to be one of the best in Europe and only to be skied down by experts with professional guides, this is called “La Grave”.

Friday is here, so to start it off we have the latest set of reviews from the 2014/15 Avant board test in the French Alps.

2014/15 Avant Première Snowboard Test

This year the Edgeriders crew were lucky enough to attend the 2014 Avant Première board test in La Cluzac, France. The purpose was to test out the latest 2014/15 gear from brands like Burton, K2 Snowboards, Jones, Nitro, Yes, Union, Ride, Rome Libtech Salomon and Flow; to name but a few. All brands which we are proud to stock in Edgeriders. There are more than 40 exhibitors representing 50 different brands and professional and specialised press. There was more than 700 testers and over 300 stores in attendance, as you can imagine it was hard work!! 

Salomon Sabotage 2015 Review

My first impressions for this board initially had me worried that I had a board beyond my ability. How wrong I was, straight of the bat I found the board gave me confidence due to its playful nature. When looking at the profile of the board it is slightly cambered but once weighted becomes a flat using Salomon's Flat out Camber design.
